A- Transfers

• Journalist Isa Saharkhiz transferred from hospital to Evin – Begins hunger strike in retaliation.

B- Arrests/Incarcerations

• Akbar Amini ( who climbed a crane in symbolic protest, 14 Feb 2011 ) summoned and arrested.
• Amin Chalaki, Mousavi's presidential campaign manager in Saveh reported to Evin to start serving 4 years sentence.
• Student activist Nasim Soltanbeigi summoned to serve her sentence in Evin.
• Underground music band arrested in Tehran.

D-Other News

• Mohammad Tavakoli secretary of Teacher's Union in Kermanshah was severely beaten.
• Some of the arrested aid workers immediately began a hunger strike to protest the arrests:
• Navid Khanjani
• Vahed Kholoosi
• Milad Panahipour
• Hossein Ronaghi Maleki

News of injustice in Iran

• Meysam and Siamak Azadi, who protested against drying up of Lake Urmiah, sentenced to 100 days in prison suspended.
• Political prisoner Hassan Ashtiani has been sentenced to 15 years on Moharebeh charges. His  lawyer was dismissed by the Judge and replaced by court appointed attorney. His trial lasted 11 minutes He was charged with selling his sister's home and sending her the money. Court claimed she is an MEK member Hassan Ashtiani has refused the charges saying he is not aware of his sister's membership in MEK.

University – Culture

• Last week 1400 satellite dishes were confiscated in Bookan.

Economy in Iran

• Mazandaran Textile had 7000 workers now down to 700 all waiting for 26 months unpaid wages.

Iran abroad

• Iran takes back its invitation from Hamas to participate in NAM.

Politics in Iran

• Iran will deploy 850 security units and 110,000 personnel to ensure "security" during NAM summit.
• Residents of Northern Tehran will have restrictions on their comings & goings during NAM summit
• The police round up 1,400 beggars from Tehran prior to the Nonaligned Movement summit.
